Between the Winter of 2018 and the Winter of 2019, I created hundreds of beats that never got used for a specific project. Some have been remixed or edited for single tracks, but once I compiled my work from the last few years, I realized that it was a lot of stuff that may never see the light of day. There are a lot of gems in the mix and a few great ideas, but I won't ever circle back to complete them.

I call this collection 'SIFTINGS' because I compiled it from unused tracks and cutting room floor extras from several albums. Additionally, I once saw a historical exhibit about a time capsule that was buried in the foundation of a Portland building from the 1890's. Of the artifacts left in the time capsule, there was a defunct newspaper called Oregon Siftings.

I liked the idea that both the newspaper and these beats are relics of the past, whether recent history or centuries old. As a nod to things uncovered from hard drives of the past, these tracks represent a few years of work that I wanted to share. Enjoy them as is!
