This album is dedicated to the concept of keeping the proper mindset in the face of unimaginable turmoil and staying focused on your goals. In the wake of the social justice uprisings and the global Covid-19 pandemic, the desire to release new beat tapes or promote music felt like an unnecessary indulgence. From mass unemployment, constant police brutality, the ever-growing wealth gap in America, constant psychic and physical traumas in my surrounding city, country and across the globe, combined with inept government response to all of it, there didn't seem to be enough brain space in my day to be creative.

However, as a lifelong coping mechanism for decompressing the day to day events in my world, I kept sitting down to make music with no idea of when I would put it out. I kept making daily beats and stashing them away like a daily diary and began crafting another album of wise words and mellow vibes as a means of self care and healing for myself, my listeners, and the community around me. So, here it is. Hate it or love it, this is 2020 in a nutshell for me. And we still have the pending presidential election and a Winter of flu season and unpredictable weather ahead of us.

Thank you to anyone out there still making time to support the work of artists and musicians in this unknown climate. We need all of it!
